Doctor Gets The Unique COVID-19 Commemorative Coin

In recognition of the contribution in the last 18 months during the global pandemic, Dr Sogbesan receives the unique commemorative coin this week from the South-Central Ambulance Service.

Dr Sogbesan had volunteered for the COVID-19 Clinical Assessment Service and had helped manage people with COVID-19 infection. The coin reminded him of the time he spent in last few months both days and nights talking to many people, giving reassurances and guidance towards recovery from the terrible infection. He expresses his thanks to the NHS service.

As winter approaches and cases of COVID-19 continue to rise again, this reminds us to stay safe and help to reduce the pressure on the hospitals during this winter. Some of the measures we can take includes getting fully vaccinated, this is the best way of protecting yourselves and others against COVID-19. The vaccines are safe and effective.

You should wear face coverings in crowded and enclosed areas where you come into contact with people you do not usually meet. And if you develop fever or a continuous cough, self-isolate immediately and get a PCR test, even if your symptoms are mild. You can find more information on COVID-19 from the UK government website.
